What kind of Primer/Sealer should my brother-in-law use on his cabin's new basement drywall?

He's asked me to pick some up and help him paint it. He doesn't seem to think it matters what kind it is, and I suppose it doesn't matter if he doesn't care. Anybody recommend a specific brand? Thanks.
