Is there a sealer for chrome?

I have chrome rims and one of them are chipped. (think it happen when i took it into a car shop) I also have some chrome siding strips on the car (or at least I think so) and there is a few chips on them as well. I was wondering is there something I can put on it so is will seal it and not chip anymore?
