How do i fix a wet basement floor?
i have a unfinished basement that gets about 60 gallons of water in it every summer/ end of spring. the basement "floods" on the opposite side of the sump pump. the water seems to be just seeping up through the floor possibly do to hydrostatic pressure. i had people from dry basement come and give me a free estimate. they too had no idea what the real cause of the problem was and are guessing hydrostatic pressure as well. they want to cut out some 32ft of concrete and install a no water system and run laterals to the problem area which is in the middle of the basement floor. they estimated $5,000 for the job. i want to know if it might be possible to just seal the floor with a good sealer, or would the water just press through, please help cause i dont have five grand to fix the problem.
