Advice on a personalized bday gift?

I wana get a cup or a photo frame for my husband but a different kind it has to be able to b wriiten on and not wash off you see I wana get the whole family to write on it (cup and frame) mayb put a sealer on so it won't come off or something...plz help me out on tips how to do it
